Rob once attended four different third grades in two different states: Kentucky and Oregon. Rob Calloway has no regrets and feels lesson’s learned have made him a better Father and Husband.

Rob’s family moved back to his place of birth, Hartford, Ky. Prior to his freshman year of high school and Rob would become a standout football and basketball player before graduating in 1987. Rob was recruited to play basketball in Missouri and his high school coach, Steve Winkler, played a significant role in keeping Rob in sports, in school, and even drove him to visit the college he would sign to play basketball for. Rob and Coach Winkler remain friends and keep in touch still today. Rob’s father resides in Oregon. And the two keep in touch on occasion. Rob’s mother, Patricia Goodwine lives in KY As well as his sister, three brothers, and many relatives. Rob’s mom enjoys visiting her oldest son, her daughter-n-law Robin Rae, and especially her two grandbabies Chase and Riley Rae.

Rob’s basketball career lasted only one year before Rob’s love of Boxing lead him to notice a Golden Glove tournament being held in Kansas City. Rob immediately told Robins father he wanted to participate. Jerry “Big Daddy” Redmond helped Rob enter the tournament and Rob would not only win the tournament but be named the ‘most outstanding boxer’ as well. Rob felt his dream of boxing had finally come true. Robin’s Dad however told Rob he would help guide his Boxing career only if he stayed in college and graduated. Rob graduated college in 1991 with a degree in Physical Therapy. He would also go on to win several more Golden Glove titles as well as the ABF six state regionals and fought his way to the semifinals of the Western Olympic Trials in 1992.
